Have you ever wondered what Essential Oils could do for you and your family? Why the craze? It almost seems like every person now-a-days is a DIY Apothecary making their own lip balms, cleaning products, and moisturizers. What is this witchcraft?!

Well, it isn’t.It is simply a way to get back to the basics. The essentials. A long time ago, I am talking like thousands of years ago, AT LEAST 4500 B.C, the Egyptians would take different types of herbs and plants that had medicinal properties to heal the soul, mind, and body, and extract the oils from them. The cultures using oils did not stop there. There has been evidence of EO usage for thousands of years from Inida, China, Germany, etc. Depending on the oil and the culture, they would apply topically, ingest, or inhale the aromas to help them with prevention and the problem they may have had. Today, the extraction methods vary from distillation, cold press, to infusing with a solvent and the exact help that they give you really depends on the quality of the oils, and your own experience with them. I will never claim that EOs are a cure-all, nor am I a medical doctor. However, our ancestors survived a really long time without all of the modern stuff, and I believe that the more “Back to Basics” we can get with our bodies (diet and environment) the healthier we will be over all.

Whether you make your own cleaning products with EOs or just go to the store and buy whatever is on the shelf, you have to admit, we have way too many chemicals surrounding us on a daily basis. From toothpaste, to deoderant..the essentials of life have turned into poison. Even the food we eat. How can you change that for you and your family?
