Clean Water While Traveling

IMG_20171027_104237

While traveling, finding water has become second nature to us. If you stay off the beaten path and hit up BLM land, rest areas, truck stops, state campgrounds…sometimes there is no water to fill up your tanks or it is non-potable water that is available. Water filtration, I belive, is a definite must if you do not know for sure where the water you will drink is coming from. We have filled up with non-potable water, but just used it to wash hands and take showers. We usually carry a few jugs of distilled water ($.88 at walmart) for drinking while we are traveling just so we don’t blow through our reserves.

Here is a video on the inside of #ChittyBang and how we clean our drinking water via reverse osmosis and Uv light. Another video coming soon on how we clean and soften the water first entering the system, which was added a few months after we started our journey.  Links to products coming!
